Janet Duch, Chief Marketing and Content Officer

Janet Duch is the XFL’s Chief Marketing and Content Officer. In her role, Janet leads marketing, digital and business intelligence functions.  She is responsible for the development of campaigns, content and experiences across all platforms and the data insights used to enhance fan engagement and maximize opportunities for business growth.

Additionally, Duch oversees the XFL’s ticketing strategy and gameday operations across each team market, while also building out the league’s team services function. She brings more than 20 years of marketing and business operations experience across sports, entertainment and hospitality.

Duch joined the XFL in April 2019, serving dual roles as President of the New York Guardians and Head of Performance Marketing for the League. As team President, she managed the Guardian’s strategic start-up plans across commercial, business and gameday operations. Adding the additional role as Head of Performance Marketing in November 2019, Duch oversaw the go-to-market strategy for tickets sales, performance marketing and development of paid, owned, and earned campaigns across all eight team markets.

Duch came to the XFL from On Location Experiences, a leading premium event hospitality business, owned by RedBird Capital, Bruin Capital and the NFL’s 32 Equity, where she served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. At her time at On Location, Duch delivered strategic marketing solutions to grow annual revenue across On Location’s 150+ rightsholder partnerships. Duch notably launched On Location’s first ever on-sale campaign for premium Super Bowl ticket packages in 2016 and played a key role in the launch of the Bud Light Super Bowl Music Fest at State Farm Arena in 2019.

Prior to On Location, Duch had a very successful 18-year career at Madison Square Garden, where she grew through the ranks of the organization and held a variety of roles. For six years, Duch served as Senior Vice President of Marketing for MSG Sports, overseeing marketing for the NHL’s New York Rangers and NBA’s New York Knicks. She was a key architect of the Rangers and Knicks brands and all related game entertainment, merchandise, consumer insights, community relations, digital and fan affinity programs. She directed go-to-market ticketing, sales and retention strategies helping drive annual revenue growth through direct marketing and audience segmentation efforts, which contributed to a sellout streak 200+ home games at Madison Square Garden for the Rangers.

Duch is a Sports Business Journal, Forty Under 40 Recipient, Class of 2015, and a Forty Under 40 Recipient, Marketing & Communications, Leaders in Sports, Class of 2015.

Duch earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where she was member of the women’s volleyball team.
