Ameren set to help power BattleHawks
ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis BattleHawks and Ameren Corporation announced Wednesday a new partnership designating Ameren as a founding partner of the team and the presenting partner of the BattleHawks’ first-ever home game on Sunday, February 23 at The Dome at America’s Center. The St. Louis BattleHawks Kickoff Game Powered by Ameren will be broadcast nationally on ESPN beginning at 2pm CT.
St. Louis-based Ameren, the region’s electric energy provider, joins Anheuser-Busch as a founding partner of St. Louis’ first born-and-raised modern pro football team.
“The BattleHawks and Ameren are two community-centric brands that proudly serve the St. Louis region,” said Kurt Hunzeker, president of the St. Louis BattleHawks. “We are excited to team up through our shared love of football to help power the excitement around professional football’s return to St. Louis.”
All fans attending the BattleHawks home opener will receive a commemorative St. Louis BattleHawks Kickoff Game Powered by Ameren rally towel to help power the BattleHawks’ players throughout the game.
"Ameren has a rich tradition of supporting the communities we serve, and there is nothing like a good sporting event to energize and bring St. Louis together," said Mark Lindgren, senior vice president for Ameren. "We are excited to partner with the BattleHawks to continue the great sports tradition we have in our region."
