Wildcats Training Camp: Day 1
HOUSTON -- Training Camp is here.
The Los Angeles Wildcats kicked things off Sunday in Houston, with fiery head coach Winston Moss leading the way per usual. The team went through a conditioning test and lift session in the morning, followed by an afternoon practice in helmets and cleats.
On Monday, the club will strap on the pads for the first time in the team's existence.
Moss put things bluntly following the evening practice.
"When the pads come on, we're going to find out who wants to play. Pads start tomorrow. Who you are and what you wanna be starts tomorrow. If you take shortcuts with me, you're not going to make it. I'm going to hold everybody in this place accountable. Everybody."
A slick one-handed catch by wide receiver Nelson Spruce started the afternoon off right.
You can also count on Kimbo (defensive tackle Anthony Johnson) for some words of wisdom.
One of the newest Wildcats made an early impact on Sunday.
The team is putting in work at Alexander Durley Sports Complex in Houston before returnining to Los Angeles with the official opening 2020 roster at the end of the month.
The team will also be hosting its first-ever Block Party on Jan. 25, so don't forget to sign up.
