Dragons Training Camp: Day 13

Seattle Showcasing Stable of QBs

HOUSTON - QB talent is on the field everywhere at Delmar Stadium these days.

Friday morning XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck visited the Seattle Dragons' training camp facility.  The former quarterback was impressed with the development of the Dragons' passers.

Jim Zorn has a very nice touch, as a former quarterback, with quarterbacks ... I think the quarterback position is in pretty good hands right now.

Quarterbacks Brandon Silvers and BJ Daniels have taken nearly all the snaps at both minicamp and training camp so far, and Luck believes both could be starters in this league.

Joe Callahan was also under center Friday in his first full practice with the team, after taking a few days to watch and get to know the offense.

We were able to nab (Callahan) off an NFL practice squad. He's a very talented kid and NFL teams like him...he'll need some time to catch up.

Callahan played Division III football at Wesley (Dover, DE).  He originally signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2016 and since then has been on six other NFL rosters.

Friday the Dragons wrapped day 13 of the joint eight-team XFL training camp preparing to take the field against the DC Defenders in a Saturday practice at Rice Stadium.

After drills and scrimmages against the Dallas Renegades and the Tampa Bay Vipers over the past week, tomorrow the Dragons match up with the team they'll face in 22 days on the February 8th kickoff of the XFL season.
