Cindy Wagner, SVP, People Operations
Cindy Wagner is the Senior Vice President, People Operations at the XFL, establishing Human Resources and administrative functions and providing strategic leadership to develop a world-class organization that promotes a culture of inclusivity, growth and innovation. She also works with the executive team to develop key initiatives to promote player health, wellness and safety. Cindy’s responsibilities also include organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, benefits and compensation and internal communications.
Wagner first joined the XFL in February 2019 as Senior Director of People and Culture, where she led the creation, development and scaling of the 700-person football operations department. In this role, Wagner managed player contracts and compensation, player policy development and implemented the on-boarding process for 600 players in each of the league’s eight team markets.
Wagner has over 20 years of experience working with national companies and has been responsible for managing restructurings, due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and joint ventures. Prior to joining the XFL, Cindy worked in the Human Relations department of Providence Service Corporation, where she focused on organizational structure, best practices, executive compensation, compliance and evaluation of HR policies regarding employment practices and benefits.
From 2011 through 2018, Wagner worked for ProCure Treatment Centers, where she provided strategic direction on all personnel matters including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations and engagement, benefits administration and policy development. Earlier in her career she worked for Accenture in the Electronics and High-Tech division.
Cindy earned her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University in Human Development and Family Studies and is a Society of Human Resources Certified Senior Human Resources professional, SHRM-SCP.
