Inside Vipers minicamp: Day 8
PLANT CITY, Fla. -- It wasn't hard to tell that something was very different at practice today. For the first time, the Vipers stepped onto the field in the team's signature green helmets with the "V" emblazoned on the side.
Tested and approved.
But there was another big difference: the tempo.
Thursday's session was fast-paced and high-energy, with coaches putting players in game-like situations to see how well they'd perform. There was a palpable sense that, as the pace was rising, so was the pressure.
Luckily, the team moved practice up to earlier in the afternoon because, just as the session ended, the rain came pouring down.
Rain or shine, the team will be back at it tomorrow. Check back here for full coverage.
