Inside Vipers minicamp: Day 4

PLANT CITY, Fla. -- Things were heating up at Vipers practice and not just because the temperature hit the low-80s. Sunday, the team hit the field for its first official practice.

After morning meetings, the players and coaches took the field in the afternoon, breaking off into position groups, running drills and giving the quarterbacks a chance to air out some passes to their new receivers.

When practice was over, head coach Marc Trestman continued the tradition of picking one player to lead the breakdown. TE Colin Thompson got the honors and ended the first-ever practice in perfect Vipers style.

Even though this team is still only a few days into minicamp, you'd never know it. A palpable sense of respect and camaraderie has quickly developed in the locker room.

"This doesn't seem like a new team. This seems like a team that's been established."

DT Nikita Whitlock

Here are some photo highlights from today's practice.

That's all from here. We'll be back tomorrow with more action from the field.
