Kenny Robinson on his decision to join the XFL
Kenny Robinson was a question mark heading into the XFL Draft.
The former All-Big 12 safety was the only player available that still had college eligibility. He obviously had talent, but would teams be put off at the prospect of only having him for one year before possibly losing him to the NFL Draft?
The St. Louis BattleHawks took a chance on him in the fifth round of the defensive backs phase and it's safe to say that the gamble paid off. Robinson was tied for the team lead with two interceptions in five games, along with 21 tackles and a sack. He quickly grew into a professional thanks to his time with the BattleHawks and the support he got from veterans in the backfield with him.
See Kenny's story about how his mom's cancer diagnosis impacted his decision to join the XFL, what the past four months have taught him, and his thoughts on how he could potentially be a trailblazer for more college-eligible players to join the league.
