Dragons Training Camp: Day 1
HOUSTON -- Houston is home for all eight XFL teams this month, as training camp kicked off Sunday.
The Seattle Dragons practiced in the warm sunshine for the first time. They wrapped minicamp in Seattle back on Dec. 19, concluding a couple weeks of cold and cloudy Pacific Northwest football conditions at Memorial Stadium.
Quote of the Day
"Tomorrow we put our pads on and we get after it. I think real football starts tomorrow for our football team."
Head coach Jim Zorn says he won't let his players get too comfortable in this weather. Pads, contact and scrimmages against other XFL teams are ahead on the training camp schedule.
Back to Texas
Dragons running backs Trey Williams and Kenneth Farrow share their excitement about being back in the Lone Star State, where they each played college ball.
The Dragons hold practices at Delmar Stadium, the home turf for several Houston ISD high school teams. Day 2 of training camp starts Monday at 8:45 a.m. CST.
