Training Camp: Guardians roster preview

HOUSTON -- With the start of the 2020 XFL season right around the corner, the New York Guardians will begin training camp this weekend at Houston Baptist University. 

Houston will be the home for all eight XFL teams’ training camps, starting Jan. 5. For the next three weeks, there will be full contact practices and intrasquad scrimmages as the Guardians prepare for their home opener on February 9th at MetLife Stadium against the Tampa Bay Vipers. 

Here is an updated look at the roster.

Houston connections

Some Guardians players boast ties to the Houston area. DeMarcus Ayers, D'Juan Hines, and Joey Mbu all went to the University of Houston, and Ben Heeney appeared in five games for the Houston Texans in 2017.
