HOUSTON -- The Houston Roughnecks released their 2020 regular season schedule, highlighted by the team’s first-ever game – at home against the Los Angeles Wildcats at TDECU Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 8 at 4pm. The game will be televised nationally on FOX and can be viewed locally on KRIV FOX 26.
“With last week’s successful player draft, the excitement for the Roughnecks continues to grow in Houston,” said Roughnecks President Brian Michael Cooper. “This new schedule heightens the enthusiasm as Houston football fans now see the game dates where they will have an incredible game experience at a great price.”
At 10:00 AM CT on October 24, football fans can purchase Roughnecks season tickets and single-game tickets at XFL.com/tickets. Lower level season tickets start at $20 per game. Season tickets with club access start at $90 per game. Lower level single-game tickets start at $24 per game with club seats starting at $108 per game.
The eight-team XFL is divided into two four-team divisions: East and West. The Roughnecks, led by head coach June Jones, are one of four teams in the XFL West. The Roughnecks are joined in the West by in-state rival Dallas Renegades, Los Angeles Wildcats and Seattle Dragons. The XFL East features the D.C. Defenders, New York Guardians, St. Louis BattleHawks, and Tampa Bay Vipers.
The Roughnecks will play a 10-week regular-season schedule that features five home games at TDECU Stadium. In addition to the team’s historic opener against Los Angeles, the Roughnecks also host St. Louis (Sunday, Feb. 16, 5 p.m.), Seattle (Saturday, March 7, 1 p.m.) and DC (Sunday, March 22, 5 p.m.). The Roughnecks’ final home game for the 2020 regular season is a nationally-televised primetime showdown against Dallas on Thursday, April 2 at 7 p.m.
The Roughnecks road schedule includes games at Tampa Bay (Feb. 22), Dallas (March 1), New York (March 14) and Los Angeles (March 29). The Roughnecks will close the 2020 regular season on the road against Seattle (April 11). Complete dates and times are listed below.
The Roughnecks are scheduled to play five games on ABC (KTRK 13), two on FOX (KRIV 26) and three games on FS1. Every XFL game will air live on national television, including 25 games broadcast on ABC and FOX. In the regular season, four games are scheduled each week, typically with two back-to-back games on both Saturdays and Sundays. The XFL schedule also features two primetime Thursday night games in the final weeks of the regular season
Following the regular season, the top two teams in each division will square off for the right to play for the league championship on Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m. on ESPN. The East Final is scheduled for Saturday, April 18 (FOX, 2 p.m.), and the West Final will be held Sunday, April 19 (ESPN, 2 p.m.). The first-place team in each division will host its respective division final.
