Inside Renegades minicamp: Day 2

Dallas Renegades quarterback Landry Jones goes through passing drills with his receivers on Friday at Arlington High School.

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The hard work continued into Day 2 at Dallas Renegades minicamp with energy and focus levels high. Head coach Bob Stoops roamed the field as coaches and players broke into position groups for individual drills, and then joined up with the defensive and special teams units as they walked through positioning and technique.

  • Quarterbacks Landry Jones and Philip Nelson continued to work with receivers on routes after coaches left the field. Tight end Donald Parham stood out with a few one-handed grabs, which looked even more impressive thanks to his 6-foot-8-inch frame.
  • While the sun shined, temperatures dropped from the 70s to the 50s with a brisk wind, prompting Stoops to move practice indoors. Kicker Austin MacGinnis and punter Drew Galitz stayed outside to get their reps.
  • The bulk of practice was split among offense, defense and special teams sessions, with the offense in the weight room when the defense was on the field, and vice versa.
