NEED TO KNOW
RENEGADES
The return of QB Landry Jones wasn’t perfect (three turnovers), but he righted the ship and posted single-game, league-best 305 passing yards and a touchdown in the win at the Los Angeles Wildcats.
RB Cameron Artis-Payne chipped in with two scores and 99 yards on the ground. Only teams not to have allowed 20-plus points in a game so far? Dallas and the DC Defenders.
Dallas K Austin MacGinnis’ five field goals are tied for the league high.
DRAGONS
The Dragons grinded out their first win last week despite the Tampa Bay Vipers running almost 20 more plays and gaining 90 more yards. A huge goal-line stand plus three turnovers buoyed Seattle’s defense.
LB Steven Johnson is tied for the league lead in tackles (11) and tied for third in sacks (1.5).
Seattle knows how to do it right: Nearly 30,000 XFL fans showed up last week for the home opener at CenturyLink Field.
