NEED TO KNOW

The top two offensive and defensive teams, according to Pro Football Focus’ Week 1 Report Card, square off for the honor of a 2-0 start.

BATTLEHAWKS

The BattleHawks prevailed in a 15-9 defensive slugfest in Week 1, holding Dallas without a touchdown and to 1-10 on third downs.

QB Jordan Ta’amu shined with 209 yards passing and a touchdown, along with another 77 yards on the ground. RB Matt Jones ran for 85 yards, as the team grinded out 191 yards rushing.

ROUGHNECKS

QB P.J. Walker, the XFL's first Star of the Week, threw four touchdowns and was responsible for nearly 300 offensive yards in the 37-17 rout of Los Angeles. Walker spread the wealth, with four teammates finding the end zone and four catching at least four balls.

Houston’s defense registered five sacks and allowed only 4.0 yards per play – both stats the best in the league – and forced three turnovers.
