Around the XFL: Holiday cleanup

We at Around the XFL hope fans had a happy and safe celebration.

Did you miss us?

The league's digital newsletter is back from break, complete with holiday hangover.

At least our fans (hopefully) didn't have to deal with this:

On the other hand, even after a binge, some in the XFL universe are ready to go, including Tampa Bay Vipers punter Jake Schum, who hit the weight room Christmas morning:

Before we and Swole Santa get our protein on, take a peek back under the Twitter tree to catch up on all the merriment that XFL teams enjoyed.

After that, it's time to get back to work.

        New rosters

Training Camp will start in Houston on Jan. 5. All eight clubs released updated rosters following minicamp.

        In the News

        • The crew at This is the XFL Show broke down XFL minicamps and hosted interviews with Houston Roughnecks head coach June Jones and Dallas Renegades defensive end Winston Craig.
        • Dallas Renegades director of player personnel and former Dallas Cowboys fullback Daryl Johnston joined ESPN's Golic & Wingo to talk about the 2020 season, working with offensive coordinator Hal Mumme's Air Raid offense, and more.
        • Cole Tracy, college football's all-time leader in kicks made (through 2018), has found new life in the XFL with the Seattle Dragons. (The New Orleans Advocate)

        Fairytale of New York

Check out what New York Guardians quarterback Matt McGloin did in his recent whirlwind around the Big Apple.

        Dojo Risin'

St. Louis BattleHawks offensive tackle Bruno Reagan says his judo skills give him a leg up in football.

        Put coach in, coach

The Seattle Seahawks surprised the football world by bringing back running back Marshawn Lynch. Jim Zorn quickly offered his own services to his former club:

For the love of football, we'll be back tomorrow with more chatter as the H-Town buzz swells.
