New York Guardians @ St. Louis BattleHawks

Catch up on the live photos and video from the third game of the XFL's Week 3 schedule. The St. Louis BattleHawks (1-1) play their first home game Sunday at The Dome at America's Center, bringing pro football back to The Lou.

They'll host the New York Guardians (1-1), who are also looking to rebound from a Week 2 loss.

Both squads aim to create elbow room in the East. Should the DC Defenders (2-0) lose Sunday evening, the winner of this clash would be tied for first place.

That's a win-win.

2nd QTR: Cashing in

The blocked punt pays off: After yielding to Christine Michael on the opening score after carrying the setup freight, Matt Jones gets in on the action, adding a touchdown run to his already robust ground day.

St. Louis' fun didn't stop there: Alonzo Russell caught a double-pass from Jordan Ta'amu and De'Mornay Pierson-El for a successful two-point conversion -- the BattleHawks' first PAT conversion of the season.

23-3 BattleHawks with a little over a minute remaining in the half.

2nd QTR: More history

A lateral on the ensuing kickoff return featured a lateral from Keith Mumphery to Joe Powell, who eventually took it to the house, surviving the sidelines and a review of where he stepped.

It's the first kickoff returned for a TD in league history.

The following two-point conversion attempt failed.

1st QTR: Run, Run, Run
